Although the town of Cedar Cove had its origins in 1886, it wasn’t until famous author Debbie Macomber launched her series of novels set in our friendly little town that Cedar Cove was put on the map (so to speak).
Debbie's Cedar Cove Series features 12 novels, one novella, a Christmas story and a cookbook. (Debbie is some prolific author! How she writes all those books and still manages to play with all those Macomber grandchildren is a mystery to most folks in these parts.) Debbie’s books have put The Town You’d Love to Call Home in the hearts and minds of readers across the U.S.—and in many other countries as well. In 2009, readers in 42 U.S. states and seven countries joined the locals here for the first-ever Cedar Cove Days, a five-day festival featuring bus tours, a parade, burger-bash, teas, outdoor concert and cook-outs, an arts & crafts festival—even a knit-along. Tourist buses loaded with Debbie Macomber fans still visit our fair town frequently.* Take a look around our site. Check out the Library—Grace Harding has enough fun events planned to last a month of Sundays. Check out our local restaurants and fun things to do. And don’t miss our very own social networking site, COVEBOOK. We may be a small town, but we’re friendly. And in Cedar Cove, we care about one another—and we show it! Cedar Cove Chamber of Commerce
* Cedar Cove is a fictitious town based on Debbie Macomber's very own hometown of Port Orchard, WA.
