Cedar Cove Barbecue
Located where the Taco Shack was once found, Cedar Cove Barbecue serves fall-off-the-bone pork ribs; smoked chicken, ham and turkey; pulled pork; and brisket, sliced and chopped, so tender your grandma could gum it without bothering to put her teeth back in. Pair with our potato wedges, baked beans, cole slaw, corn on the cob or potato salad. Dinners come with two sides, sandwiches with one. Pick your barbecue sauce: Wimpy, Hair on Your Chest or Firehose (‘cause that’s what you’ll need to get the burn out of your mouth). Some folks mix two or all three together to get the exact degree of heat they like best. Don't even think about leaving without trying our homemade lemonade, ice cream or peach cobbler.

DD's on the Cove
Amazing food, relaxed atmosphere; DD’s beautiful view offers the ambiance you’ll want for your next lunch or dinner out. Seafood is our specialty, but we offer delicious beef, pork, chicken, salads and sandwiches as well. Our extensive selection, including daily specials, tends to delight, amaze and often surprise with its constant and engaging additions—both temporary and permanent—conjured by a chef who loves to create and evolve. One of only three restaurants in the nation to receive the National Restaurant Organization’s 2009 USA Reverie Award, we offer a nice array of beer, wine and spirits, plus a friendly and attentive staff. The patio is open when weather permits. We serve something for every palate and most budgets, with entrees ranging from $10 to $35 each.

Mr. Wok's
Confucius say, those who eat at Mr. Wok’s have very good wok indeed! Large portions, always hot, fresh and delicious. No MSG added, ever. Dine in or take out. We’re known for our egg rolls, soup (egg drop and hot ‘n sour especially) and combination meals, which always come with your choice of white, fried or coconut rice. Our customers tell us all the time: Mr. Wok’s offers the best chicken almond ding in all of Washington State! Plus, our orange oolong iced tea is sure to spoil you for all others.

Mocha Mama's
Sippers: Mama’s got her secret special house blend—it’s yummy; that’s all we’re saying—and decaf. In addition, she offers a rotating selection of international Joes (Mama does love her Joes): French Roast, Ethiopian, Italian Roast, Brazilian and Fair Trade Panama. Plus, all the usual “go” juice specialties: cappuccino, caffè latte, flavored lattes, breve, espresso and macchiato. For those who ask nicely, there’s also chai tea, a selection of gourmet teas, hot chocolate and Italian sodas. Something to Chew On: Come to Mama for assorted bagels and flavored cream cheese spreads; cookies like chocolate chip, macadamia nut, peanut butter and oatmeal raisin; brownies; scones, plain or filled with blueberry or apple, and Mama prides herself on putting the “sin” in her extra-large cinnamon buns.

Pancake Palace
The good-ol’ double P is a many-decades favorite of those looking for breakfast 24-hours a day. Burgers, sandwiches and down-home entrees like meatloaf are also served from 11:00 a.m. to midnight. Plus, no matter what the hour, the coffee is always hot and fresh. And, try though we might to convince them to broaden their horizons, some regulars refuse to even try any desserts other than our homemade coconut cream pie. While we understand their loyalty to this lip-smacking favorite, we can’t help but feel they’re cutting themselves off from experiencing such other culinary delights as our homemade pear or apple-raisin pies, among other delicious options.

Pot Belly Deli
Our watch words at the Pot Belly Deli are fresh and homemade. We create mouth-watering soups, salads, sandwiches, pastries, cookies and desserts, to be enjoyed here or carried out. No matter what we’re making, when vegetables are involved we use the most succulent, vine-ripened ingredients available and couple them, when appropriate, with baked-fresh-daily bread, created (like all our baked goods) from our own tried and true recipes. Our portions are huge, everything is cooked with love and our regular menu is enhanced with daily specials.

Taco House (formerly Taco Shack)
The same couple that ran the Taco Shack opened the larger Taco House after their first location was purchased by the owners of Cedar Cove Barbecue. This popular lunch and dinner site offers homemade salsa, 5-cheese queso, mouth-watering tostados and flour and corn tortillas, delivered warm to your table. The emphasis at the Taco House, as with the Taco Shack before it, is on the food, not the décor. Still, the surroundings are comfortable and it’s a great place for families to enjoy hot and hearty nachos, enchiladas, burritos, tacos and more. The entire menu is priced for the budget conscious.

Victorian Tea Room
This dusty-pink building is a destination site for women hoping to enjoy a distinctive occasion with friends and loved ones for lunch or specially-catered parties only. We feature recipes remembered, embellished or created by one of Cedar Cove’s most beloved citizens (and cooks), Charlotte Jefferson Rhodes, maternal grandmother to the proprietor, Justine Lockhart Gunderson. Everyone in Cedar Cove knows the healing powers of Charlotte’s chicken noodle soup. Now they can enjoy it on a daily basis and take some home, as needed, for an ailing loved one. Charlotte’s muffins, lasagna and her coconut cake are also longtime favorites of many Cedar Cove citizens and visitors and can be ordered here on a daily basis as well. The Victorian Tea Room’s food, atmosphere and service are all meant to be savored in this lovingly built and decorated spot.

Horse with No Name Tavern
(Please note: despite repeated requests, no description of this establishment was provided by its management/ownership, so the following has been written by a member of the Cedar Cove Chamber of Commerce staff.) It’s best to visit the Horse with No Name Tavern only when accompanied by your whole “gang.” Approximately 98% of the clientele arrive on Harleys and are routinely sporting new tattoos and in need of better dental care. Children are not allowed (or recommended within 200 yards of the tavern). Food: hot wings, onion rings, pig’s knuckles and slices of pizza. Beverages: beer, always ice cold, on tap and bottled. Cash only.

Pink Poodle Saloon
At the Pink Poodle, we think of ourselves as a neighborhood bar where the working man, or woman, comes at shift’s end to either meet friends or make new ones. Darts, conversation and beer are our three staples. If you don’t want us talking about you, you better be here. We serve pretzels, chips and salsa, candy, nuts and hot dogs, along with cold beer, on tap and bottled.

Beloved Eating Establishments . . . Gone but Not Forgotten !
Lighthouse Restaurant (formerly Captain’s Galley)
Once Cedar Cove’s premier seafood restaurant, the Lighthouse was always a special place to enjoy lunch or dinner. When they purchased the Captain’s Galley and turned it into the Lighthouse Restaurant, Seth and Justine Gunderson created what many residents of Cedar Cove came to regard as their favorite spot to dine—and a cove-full of special memories. The structure itself may have been destroyed by fire, but those memories of special occasions and fantastic meals still linger for many members of the community.
